- 1867 – Born in Warsaw, Poland
- 1891 – Moved to Paris to study physics and mathematics at the Sorbonne
- 1895 – Married physicist Pierre Curie
- 1898 – Discovered the element polonium and radium
- 1903 – Won the Nobel Prize in Physics (shared with Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel)
- 1911 – Won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering radium and polonium
- 1914_1918 – Developed mobile X-ray units during World War 1
- 1934 – Died from aplastic anemia, likely caused by prolonged radiation exposure
